Secret Splendors of the Desert: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® by Lalo Fiorelli is the result of many years of exploring and photographing this, the largest and perhaps least known of California’s state parks. Part of the Colorado Desert, the park lies in the southeast corner of San Diego County. This photo essay includes images of the extraordinary spring bloom following wet winters and the rugged badlands that make up so much of the park geology. The author/photographer traveled by foot and four-wheel-drive vehicle to capture these stunning photographs, from the popular highly trafficked areas to the least visited and most remote parts of the park. Mr. Fiorelli’s anecdotal text includes an essay on the history (including the interesting story of the Arizona /San Diego Railroad), climate, and geology of this fascinating desert region.

A coffee table book, it contains 102 pages with 98 full color images and is printed on high quality matte paper.

It is 9.5 X 10.5 inches landscape oriented
